US resumes crude oil imports from Nigeria

A few cargoes are said to be heading to US refineries from Nigeria, trading sources said at the weekend.
Two Nigerian grades, including at least two cargoes of flagship crude Qua Iboe as well as Bonga, were said to be heading to US east coast refineries as well potentially down to the US Gulf Coast, traders said.
“It is bits and pieces, not massive flows,” one crude trader told US-based energy publication, Platts.
Exports of Nigeria’s major crude grade, began declining rapidly from July 2014 to zero level by the end of last year following increased shale oil production by the US.

690 Quarantined In North Sierra Leone after 16 year old died of Ebola last Sunday

It appears the Ebola virus is bringing a new threat to Sierra Leone as 690 people were yesterday quarantined in the district of Bombali in northern Sierra Leone after a 16 year old girl named Kadiatu Thullah died of the deadly disease at the International Medical Corps Ebola treatment unit on Sunday September 13th.

Photos: 2 armed robbers arrested after attacking a bank customer in Benue


 These two robbers were arrested yesterday afternoon at about 1pm after they and three of their other robbery gang members snatched a bag containing N2 million from a bank customer who just stepped out of a bank at the North Bank area of Makurdi, the state capital. Residents of the area and some motorcycle riders immediately alerted police officers stationed at Balcony Parks and Gardens junction. After a 30 minutes gun battle, two of the robbers were arrested while three of them escaped.

Apple to show off new iPhones, Apple TV

Apple is expected to unveil a pair of new handsets at an event in San Francisco on Wednesday (today) analysts say, in addition to showing off a larger iPad and an updated Apple TV.

When Apple executives take the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, investors will be scrutinising their plans for the next generation of the iPhone, which drove nearly two-thirds of the company's $49.6 billion in revenue in the most recent quarter.

Apple is widely expected to keep the size of the phones the same but upgrade it with an improved camera and Force Touch, a display technology that responds differently depending on how hard users press their screens.
